What an opening weekend for College Football! ItÂs been about ten years since I really started loving college football and I gotta say every year its gets better and better. The one thing I took from it was how absolutely dominating the SEC is. I gotta give Texas, Oklahoma St. , and Notre Dame some love but WOW! Every SEC game I watched was amazing, except maybe the South Carolina game. Things that blew my mindÂ
1. You may think IÃÂm crazy but Tennessee looked like a well oiled machine! Lane Kiffen has put together one heck of a football team. Bryce Brown looked as good as advertised. Combined with Montario Hardesty they ran for 264 yards and 2 TDs.
What really grabbed my attention was the effect that Monty Kiffen has had with the defense. If this is the way they are going to play all year then the rest of the conference better watch out. IÂm am so looking forward to the Florida game now. Should be a good one.
2. Right when i thought Florida couldnÂt get any faster than the team they had last year I was wrong. The gators looked faster than ever. I hate to say it but they might be taken home there third championship in four years.
3. My favorite had to be how Alabama dominated Virginia Tech. I didnÃÂt think the Crimson Tide would be so over powering. They front seven on the defensive were unstoppable. All night the Virginia Tech offensive lineman were blocking air! They were totally confused by the different looks Bama was giving them. DontÂa Hightower and Rolando McClain just couldnÂt be stopped. Alabama may be the one to take Florida out
