New Running Back Stat 2010 Full Rankings

August 11th 2011 13:38
To qualify a running back must have at least 100 carries. Thanks guys for your feedback, and feel free to comment and criticize. Do you think I should give an extra bonus to the guys with more carries? It seems as if the players in the 100-199 range have the advantage, but this is- after all- and efficiency stat. (The groupings should not be interpreted as tiers, as they are only used to make it look less messy)

I like the rankings and the in-depth detail you put into them. Going to be interesting to see how these guys do on the field now that we got it to watch! I can't wait. Hopefully Chris Johnson can make it to the Titans.

The average is 48.6, which means that the average efficiency should be 48.6. A "very good" efficiency rating should be 55, while a very poor rating is 44. These values are calculated using upper and lower quartile averages and about 9 or 10 players fall into those two categories with the average affecting everyone. The average also coincides with the mean, and this means that the data is close and is a good sample-size. However, efficiency is only used for the 2010 season and doesn't completely evaluate a running back. Nothing can replace good scouting.
