Housh and Leinart Snapped Up

Let's start with the huge news. The Seahawks are stupid. Seriously. They released their second best offensive player because of poor performances that are directly tied to the fact that they have no quarterback. Simple math, running offense with an awful quarterback means that your receiver will not be productive, right? Well, Housh was actually productive.
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh had 79 catches last year, proving that he is one of the top possession receivers this year. Hasselbeck had a QB rating of just 75.1 and managed to throw as many TDs as INTs. Houshmandzadeh will take his talents to a team that believes in him more. He will now team up with Anquan Boldin to make a fearsome wide receiver duo for rising star QB Joe Flacco. I see a juggernaut in Baltimore.
Solid backup receiver Mark Clayton was traded for an undisclosed draft pick to the St. Louis Rams as a result. This is a nice deal for the Rams as they get a proven possession target to couple with deep threats Donnie Avery and Laurent Robinson.
Matt Leinart is now backup to another Matt; Matt Schaub. The Houston Texans signed him on a low risk one year deal after releasing John David Booty. Dan Orvolsky is the other backup. Leinart isn't good or even mediocre, but he is still way better than Orvolsky.
I was right. One of my crazy predictions was right, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are now a slightly better football team. I have always loved the upside of young quarterback Dennis Dixon. He was chosen over Batch after Leftwich was injured. I would even pick Dixon over Leftwich, but only just. (Picture from upi)
