2010 Week 15 Sunday Notes

Call me crazy, but I think Jamaal Charles is the fourth best running back in the league and is nearly as good as CJ and MJD. Charles' per carry average- 6.4- is a crazy number that you see in Madden games. Jimmy Clausen was able to be the Mark Sanchez of the Jets 2009 playoff run. He sat back and let the running backs do his work while throwing short passes. This is how the Panthers need to win games. But trust me, Matt Moore is better than Clausen.
LeSean McCoy is turning into the back I always thought he would be- huge Pitt fan here. Michael Vick is explosive, but boy McCoy is too. Hakeem Nicks showed all the inconsistencies that were in his college career. Big play ability that drops easy passes. Manningham showed his characteristics as well. A guy that can get you deep and move the chains. He isn't as explosive at Nicks, but he is more reliable.
Jeremy Maclin is the reason for DeSean Jackson's success. I have said it before, and I will say it again. Maclin is the best receiver on the Eagles. If Quintin Mikell doesn't make the All-Pro list- I hate the Pro Bowl voters- then what can I trust? Oh well, I always have my All-Pro list to look forward to. Do Antrel Rolle and Deon Grant rival Antoine Bethea and a healthy Bob Sanders? How about Dawan Landry and Ed Reed?
Don't read into Maurice Morris' performance. Remember that this is the Bucs' run defense he was facing, not the Giants. Calvin Johnson absolutely abused Aqib Talib. The young Bucs corner still needs to work on his technique. The Kansas standout long has had talent, but his technique has always been a huge question mark.
Carlos Dunlap has really come round. This is why Marvin Lewis should stay. I have met him and can tell you first hand how nice of a guy he is. Lewis also knows how to work with people with conduct issues and turn them into quality players. Just ask Pacman Jones. Is Jon Kitna as good as Tony Romo? Compare their stats and performances. Yup, he is. However, I would rather take Romo between the two because Romo is younger. Otherwise, there is no difference in terms of overall skill. I said skill, not skill set guys.
Wow, there is a lot of material in here that will stir up an argument. Well, that's why we write. Right guys? Imagine if Santana Moss had more help. Imagine if Steve Smith of the Panthers had enough help. Coincidentally, they were the two best receivers in 2005 in the NFC. Of course, Smith was the best. Another thing in common, they both wear the number 89.
Anyway, we should make a show called "Everyone loves Jason". Kitna and Romo would agree. Of course, T.O. would be angry for his reality show would be in jeopardy. And, of course, he hates Witten. So let's call it, "Everyone Loves Jason because T.O. isn't a person". Then Owens would say, "Yeah, I'm too good". Sorry, I really should get back to the real material instead of my stupid jokes.
Yeah, okay, I'm not a comedian. David Garrad needs a lot more credit. I was- for the first time all season- impressed with Donald Brown. He tore up the wall of Alualu and Pot Roast. Joe Flacco was really bad, but Redding, Gregg and Ngata made the Saints running game even worse. The Saints corners were terrific. It was Ray Rice they had a problem with.
People need to stop overlooking Jarret Johnson. Just because Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs are on the Ravens doesn't mean that there are no other good linebackers in Baltimore. 62 and 54, the number of attempted passes by Matt Schaub in the past two weeks respectively. Glover Quin really must miss Rusty Smith. When your teams best corners are Glover Quin, Jason Allen, and Kareem Jackson; you know you stink. Those three are some of the worst players in the league. And you wonder why you lose so many games Houston.
People overhyped Tim Tebow by a lot. Well, yeah, it is Tebow. But still, how good is a QB if they only complete 50 percent of their passes? I thought you would agree on that one. If the Patriots don't want to nearly lose again, they really need to tighten up their run defense. Getting mowed by Brandon Jackson isn't exactly acceptable.
